The prominent US social biologist EO Wilson once said, “The real problem with humankind is that we have paleolithic emotions, medieval institutions, and god-like technology.”
Recent advances and innovations in IT technology that have enabled outstanding problem-solving capabilities and performance and once were believed to be impossible can now be called god-like technology, as Wilson said many years ago.
In particular, the recent trend of digital transformation (DX) is accelerated by technologies such as IoT, AI, 5G, collaborative robots, etc., making DX indispensable for future manufacturing management and innovation.
According to the report proposed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, the so-called “2025s cliff” predicts an annual economic loss of 12 trillion yen due to the aging legacy technology and core systems. In the case of the Manufacturing industry, this calls for due-course renewal of existent manufacturing, production, and inventory management systems which commonly act as a core system for this sector.
Consequently, the manufacturing industry’s environment is bracing for a period of significant change. Being fully aware of changes of the time, current trends, and needs, we, EXcorporation, provide the production management system Factory-ONE to help the manufacturing industry to succeed in implementing DX and getting ready for a new era of technology. Thanks to our customers, the total number of Factory-One implementations exceeded 1800, and our manufacturing management system is currently being used and highly evaluated by many companies in Japan and overseas. We’ve also put substantial effort into advancing supply-chain management in the 21st century by releasing an intellectual platform called EXtelligence and cloud-based EDI system EDIFAS in 2017.
In addition to manufacturing management systems and EDI, we are currently developing and providing services and solutions such as RPA, virtual working space called LoooMs, and DX solutions library EXfeel.
Note: As of now, these services and solutions are available only in Japan.
We will continue to acquire the knowledge and expertise related to the latest technologies. We will keep developing IT products and services that facilitate and help the development of intelligent manufacturing management.
